How to create a favicon from your favorite pic

Wed October 5, 2005 at 13:48 | Posted in Trick | 3 Comments

A favicon is a small, 16×16 image that is shown inside the browser’s location bar and bookmark menu when your site is viewed.
For example, this Wordpress favicon is the favicon that you see next to the WordPress url address.

If you want to have a favicon for your website, “Favicon for Pics” lets you create your own favicon with any picture you like!

  1. Nice! I always used to reduce the size of an image to 16×16 or 32×32 and save it as a gif-file and rename it to favicon.ico… this works pretty cool!

  2. Happy to help you.
I saw on your blog that you modified the standard WordPress.com favicon with yours.
    How did you do that?

  3. I didn’t it’s template dependant… every template seems to have it’s own favicon.

We aren’t able to change anything about the template
